It’s a great versatile piece of equipment to have for athletes. It’s also very well made. I have seen others that have plastic handles that don’t seem as sturdy as the neoprene handles on the tidal tank. You can get in a total body workout with one piece of equipment and also get your heart rate up to get in some cardio.

I am a vestibular and neurological therapist and spend all day working with people to improve their balance. The Tidal Tank allows us to be able to challenge our patients with customizable loads to provide an increased intensity to the activity. Additionally, the water provides nice perturbations that challenge the patient's balance and reactive stability. As an added benefit the visuals of the water sloshing in the tank can provide added challenge for my patients with visual motion sensitivity. The tanks are versatile, easy to use and add a new fun dynamic to balance and strength training in the clinic.

The option to utilize an unstable external load has added a layer of complexity to exercises that have become to simplistic for our athletes when using free weights alone.
